Bio
Lauren Schwein is a comedy writer and performer living in Los Angeles. Lauren got her start in comedy at the age of sixteen performing stand-up at the Indianapolis Fringe Festival. From 2016-2018, Lauren flexed her comedy chops writing for the Onion’s satirical clickbait site, ClickHole. She is a graduate of the UCB training program and was a member of the Mess Hall team, Aunt Becky, in 2019. When she wasn't performing comedy, Lauren spent five years working as a professional researcher for political candidates where she wrote opposition research, designed communications strategies, and unraveled the illicit business dealings of the brother of a sitting United States Senator (she’s not allowed to say which one). She’s currently an executive assistant at Scott Free Productions.
Lauren has been a 2nd rounder at the Austin Film Festival, a finalist in the Script Summit Screenplay Contest, and in 2021 won Stage 32's TV Comedy Screenwriting Contest.
